Digital Storytelling

The library’s digital classroom has easy-to-ues (and easy-to-learn!) digitals storytelling software.  It’s called Photo Story 3 and believe it or not, it’s a free download from Microsoft (http://http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=92755126-a008-49b3-b3f4-6f33852af9c1&DisplayLang=en0).

You can quickly make a slideshow of your digital photos and rotating, croping, and touching up photos is a snap.  Add special effects like panning and zooming and even add your own voice narration.  We have microphones you can borrow that will plug in to the DC’s computers.  When you’re all done, there are a variety of ways to share the finished projects–burn to a CD or DVD, email, even watch it on a smartphone.

I’ll be offering a preview at a 30 Minutes on Thursday, so stay tuned.
